The Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs Faisal Sabzwari Tuesday blamed current gas and electricity scarcity besides other utilities as major hurdles towards investment and limited manufacturing of automobiles in the city and he was responding to queries of the media at the inauguration of 8th Auto and Transport Asia 2012 at Karachi Expo Centre. Commercial Counselor of China, Yan Jianming and China International Autoparts Vice Chairman Zhang Yazhu also attended the occasion.
And the event was attended by around 50 international and domestic exhibitors and 51 foreign delegates from countries including China, Iran, USA, Taiwan, India and UAE and the major companies exhibiting their products included Atlas Honda Ltd, Sherwani Motors, Beilin Oil Equipment Company, Babol Moquette and Carpet Industries, Jiangling Import and Export Co Ltd, Organising Company of China International, Shen Jinbei Vehicle Manufacturing Co Ltd, Shijiazhuang Woyang Diesel Fittings Co Ltd, Tecwin Inc and Zhuhai Beiling Fueling Equipment Co Ltd.
A manufactured by Karakoram Motors since 2010 in current price stands at a whooping Rs 800,000 for each unit was not been introduced in the local market and its sale is limited to only export purpose in USA and Canada as claimed by the senior representative of the moving company while responding to various questions of the scribe.
