The Managing Director of Volkswagen Middle East Stefan Mecha says, “While Volkswagen may not have manufacturing facilities in the Middle East, the company is rapidly expanding in the region - our first quarter sales results showed a 72% year-on-year increase".

For the volkswagen passenger cars plans to reduce the environmental impact with 25% by 2018 to think Blue factory to which part of the “Think Blue” initiative is aimed at reducing future waste volumes, carbon dioxide emissions and overall water consumption and energy consumption in megawatt-hours per rach manufactured vehicle.

And the company will introduce the brand new Passat in the Middle East, build at the new Chattanooga plant in Tennessee, USA for the first auto facility that received platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification and that uses 20% less energy than any other plant on the very beginning the facility was designed to produce less waste and emissions, by using innovative technologies and energy efficient materials.
